Everything You Need To Know Before You Head To The Players

Everything You Need To Know Before You Head To The Players

The Players Championship will be held March 7-12, 2023 at the TPC Sawgrass Stadium Course. I am super excited to venture out to The Players next weekend but before I go, I want to share with you all the helpful information I learned recently about attending The Players this year!

Tournament Hours

Gates will open everyday except for Thursday and Friday at 7:30am. On Thursday and Friday, gates will open at 6:45am.

What To Expect At The Gates

Useful Tip: The Players will allow reusable plastic or metal cups up to 32oz at entries, as long as they are empty.

Bag Policy: Opaque bags measuring 6x6x6 inches and smaller or clear bags 12x6x12 inches and smaller are allowed inside the course grounds. Please make sure to measure your bag prior to leaving because there is no spot for the gate to hold you bag while you are at the tournament.

Shop the bags below on Amazon that adhere to the bag policy…

Parking passes are $15 on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Parking passes are $40 Thursday-Sunday.

Parking passes must be purchased online in advance and will NOT be for sale on-site.

Complimentary golf cart and bicycle parking in LOT 4W will be offered during the tournament.

Rideshare (Uber and Lyft)

215 ATP Blvd. is the drop off and pick up location for ride share services at The Players this year. It is located at the Couples Entry Gate near the 15th hole.

The Players has worked exclusively with ride share services to program the correct drop off location for passengers attending the tournament. Type in, THE PLAYERS.

Fan Shop

The Fan Shop will be open all weekend, 10am-4pm. Payment processes at the PGA TOUR Fan Shop, all vendors and all concession stands will be digital, contactless and cashless throughout the entire tournament property.

Highlighted brands featured in the Fan Shop this year include Vineyard Vines, Greyson, Johnnie O, FootJoy, Melin Hats and Flomotion.

Nocatee Shuttle Service

The Players will provide three shuttles Friday, Saturday and Sunday rotating between the following Nocatee pick-up and drop-off locations. This is a FREE shuttle services for Nocatee and area residents.

Location 1: Palm Valley Academy (700 Bobcat Lane, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081),

Location 2: Valley Ridge Academy available Friday & Saturday ONLY. (105 Greenleaf Drive, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32081).

Location 3: Pine Island Academy (805 Pine Island Rd, St. Augustine, FL 32095)

The shuttles will run continuously from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will drop fans off right in front of the Nicklaus entrance.

Military Appreciation Day Ceremony

Riley Green will be performing at the military appreciation concert which will take place by the 17th hole and begin at 4:30pm. I highly recommend leaving early and giving yourself plenty of time to make it down A1A because traffic tends to build up closer to showtime.

Snacks and Eats

NEW The Oasis Featuring Tito’s Stillhouse Lounge

Sitting near the 9th tee, the enclosed Tito’s Lounge is the newest and trendiest spot at the tournament this year. Available to guests 21 and up, this lounge will be serving up the traditional Sawgrass Splash cocktails as well as Grapefruit Palomas all throughout the tournament so it is definitely worth popping into and check out!
