Easy To Make Pimento Cheese Spread Recipe- Spicy or Not!

Easy To Make Pimento Cheese Spread Recipe- Spicy or Not!

One of my absolute “go-to” appetizers while entertaining is Pimento Cheese Spread. Hands down! Why? The answer is Pimento Cheese Spread is always a hit with my guests. It really never disappoints and is usually one of the first appetizers that requires a refill. I typically will opt for store bought Pimento Cheese Spread but I was pleasantly surprised to find out just how easy it is to make at home with just a few key ingredients. The ingredients are easy to shop for at your neighborhood grocery store and creating the spread at home also offers the flexibility to make it as spicy as you want!

I headed straight for the spicy danger zone and added a solid amount of heat to my spread. The amount of spice is totally optional but it does add a great flavor and kick to a traditional recipe. I will list all of the key ingredients below along with what to do so you can also create a delicious Pimento Cheese Spread (Spicy or Not) right in your very own kitchen for your next cookout or gathering.

WHAT TO DO

Step 1: In a large bowl combine room temperature cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and mayonnaise.

Step 2: Add diced red pimentos and parmesan cheese. Mix well.

Optional: Add in desired amount of chopped Calabrian peppers to give this spread a spicy kick. I recommend starting with 1/4 cup and tasting as you add. These peppers tend to give a heat that will linger.

Step 3: Place in refrigerator until completely chilled before molding into a ball or desired shape.

Serving Hack: Use an ice cream scooper to help mold the pimento cheese spread and surround with toast rounds or crackers.
