SHACKET: [noun] A jacket in the style of a shirt, or a thick shirt worn as a jacket. Introducing the “shacket.” The “shacket” is a newly titled trend that has essentially been around for years. It is an article of clothing that is versatile and can be styled as a shirt by itself or styled on top of shirt to resemble a jacket.
What is the difference between a “shacket” and a jacket? Personally, I feel that a shacket typically consists of a lighter weight fabric and almost always features buttons down the middle. A jacket typically consists of a much warmer fabric or material. The “shacket” is more of a comfortable and stylish closet staple piece where as a jacket is more of a staple piece used to keep warm outside during the fall/winter season.
I love BOTH shackets and sherpas for fall this year! That is why I rounded up my favorite “shackets” and “sherpas” for you to shop this season from a few of my favorite online clothing shops.

Flannel is the perfect fabric for those breezy fall days. Plaid flannel is perfect for pumpkin patch pictures too!
I always keep a sherpa in my car during the fall and winter season. Even in Florida, the grocery stores do tend to get a little extra chilly during the colder months making a sherpa the perfect solution!
