HollyWood Studios @WaltDisneyWorldResort- WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

HollyWood Studios @WaltDisneyWorldResort- WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!

Hollywood Studios located at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida is officially open! Hollywood Studios is home to the famous Galaxy’s Edge, Mickey and Minnie’s Railway, Toy Story Land, Tower of Terror, and more. I recently visited Hollywood Studios and to say I had an amazing experience is an understatement. I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE! Morning crowds were low and I was actually able to ride Rise of the Resistance!

I am excited to share with you my latest tips as well as a fun Hollywood Studios themed Lookbook so grab your favorite facemask and check it out before returning to the magic!

Walt Disney World Resort requires each guest to make a park reservation prior to visiting the park. This can be done on the app or online. Guests are limited to 1 park per day to help monitor park capacity.

Magic Bands

Facemask, Facemask, Facemask

Walt Disney World has required everyone over the age of two to wear a facemark while inside the park and this also applies to the rides. Riders must wear a face mask so stock up buttercup and bring at least 2-3 facemarks per park visit. Wearing a soggy, wet facemark after Splash mountain is not fun so bring extra!!

Amazon Facemasks I personally LOVE!

Download the MyDisneyExperience App

Use the app to view wait times, make quick service food orders, dining reservations, and more! The app is pretty imperative for your next Walt Disney World visit and even allows you to load credit card information for EASY magic band purchases.

Disney Phone Holders & Cases

I highly suggest making a dining reservation ahead of time using the app because walk-in spots were non-existent during our last visit. It was nice to be able to sit down in the cool AC and enjoy a mask-free meal. Reservation times are constantly changing so be sure to check back in on the app if you can’t immediately find a reservation time that works for you!

Create a “Ride Route”

We are going old school with no fast passes available and as the day progresses, some rides will tend to form longer lines than others. Hollywood Studios is home to the NEW Mickey and Minnie’s Railway and Galaxy’s Edge. New and trending attractions will naturally form the longest lines. To ensure you ride your favorite attractions create a ride route using a park map and hit your most desired attractions first!

A great ride route for Hollywood Studios includes…

>>Mickey and Minnie’s Railway FIRST, then heading into Toy Story Land to ride Slinky Dog Dash followed by taking the back entrance to Galaxy’s Edge to ride Smuggler’s Run.

Be Ready for Rain!

Florida has a high chance of afternoon monsoons, showers and sprinkles. The days of dipping into a gift shop or popping into a dining location to stay dry are officially behind us. Due to new protocols and regulations, hours of gifts shops vary and dining locations require a reservation ahead of time. Quick service dining is still available and seating is limited due to social distancing. Bottom line? Bring an umbrella, rain jacket or poncho in order to keep your day going strong!
