I reminisce about the times where I would scroll endlessly on Pinterest looking for the best meal to pin to my “Dinner Time” board. One of the most valuable lessons I have learned as a parent, is that time management is EVERYTHING! Sure, I will get back to my ole’ dinner making ways but right now… ain’t nobody got time for that!
Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Since it does take a village and we are all in this together, I thought it would be fantastic to share with you a few QUICK & EASY snack ideas that I use on a weekly basis!
Simple Grilled Cheese Croissants
Ingredients
- Refrigerated Croissant Dough
- Shredded Mild Cheddar Cheese
Follow the directions on the refrigerated croissant dough packaging to preheat oven. Lay out each triangle of dough and simply sprinkle half a handful of mild cheddar onto dough. Roll and bake as directed. Allow to cool & enjoy!
Go The Extra Mile: Make it a meal and serve with a bowl of tomato bisque for a delicious dipping snack!
Pizza Pocket Croissants
Ingredients
- Refrigerated Croissant Dough
- Pizza Sauce
- Shredded Mozerella
Follow the directions on the refrigerated croissant dough packaging to preheat oven. Lay out each triangle of dough and sprinkle a pinch of shredded mozzarella onto dough. Roll and bake as directed. Allow to cool & enjoy!
Go The Extra Mile: Incorporate mini-pepperonis or ground up sausage for a protein packed pizza pocket!
Ham & Swiss Croissants
Ingredients
- Refrigerated Croissant Dough
- Swiss cheese Slices, quartered
- Thin Sliced Deli Style Ham
Follow the directions on the refrigerated croissant dough packaging to preheat oven. Lay out each triangle of dough and place one quarter slice of Swiss cheese onto dough followed by Ham then Swiss cheese again. (You may need to trim the Swiss cheese & Ham to prevent excess melting around the croissant.) Roll and bake as directed. Allow to cool & enjoy!
Go The Extra Mile: Create a Swiss n’ Cheddar Ham Melt by Substituting half of the Swiss cheese slice in each croissant for shredded cheddar cheese.
Chocolate Croissant Puffs
Ingredients
- Refrigerated Croissant Dough
- Hershey Milk Chocolate Kisses
- Powdered Sugar
Follow the directions on the refrigerated croissant dough packaging to preheat oven. Lay out each triangle of dough and place one Hershey Milk Chocolate Kiss in the middle of the croissant. Roll croissant as directed and tuck each end under the croissant. Press firmly to make sure the ends stay tucked under the croissant as it bakes.
The key to this pastry puff is to make sure the chocolate melts inside the croissant without escaping mid-oven bake. Bake as directed. Allow to cool & sprinkle with powdered sugar.
