4 RIDES YOU MUST GO ON at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween!

4 RIDES YOU MUST GO ON at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween!

Mickey is hosting the most MAGICAL Halloween party of the year and you are INVITED!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween is running this year from August 17th thru October 31st. I was so excited to receive an invitation to attend the very first day of the event. There are so many magical surprises for ghouls young and old! The party includes NEW Halloween themed ride features and they are AMAZING! Here are 4 rides you MUST CHECK OUT this year at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party…

#4 SPACE MOUNTAIN

Calling all outer space explorers seeking a thrilling (and chilling) experience! Space Mountain is a fantastic ride to begin with but Disney decided to take it to the next level this year. Soar through pitch black space while jamming out to a hard rock soundtrack. Did you read that right? PITCH BLACK. That’s right fellow space travelers! Ride Space Mountain in pitch black darkness. You may even experience a few spooky surprises along the way!

#3 MAD TEA PARTY CUPS

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is serving up tea this year with a little extra magic! Experience the Mad Tea Party like never before with whimsical music, crazy colorful lights and a light breeze of spooky fog. This ride is perfect for kids who love to swirl and twirl on a cool summer night. Now the question is, what color tea cup will you pick to ride in?

#2 PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN

Hold onto your Pirate hats! Disney brought their “A-Game” with the new INTERACTIVE Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Help Jack Sparrow find a nasty scoundrel who is after his treasure. He goes by the name of “Gunpowder Pete.” It actually took me a few moments to realize some of the pirates throughout the ride were REAL. Disney’s animatronics are so realistic, I was almost in disbelief. I have not been on this ride in a long time so I also noticed a few changes in the ride scenes that I’m sure you already know about. The scene with the “Pirate Auction”, I believe has changed and the pirates are now waiting in line to trade what appears to be antiques (picture frames, decor, etc.) I also noticed a pretty fierce female pirate in the same scene which I absolutely LOVED!

#1 HAUNTED MANSION

This ride is a given if you are attending Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween but something insane went down at the end that literally had us screaming, “WHHAAAAT JUST HAPPENED?!” The ride features 999 grim grinning ghosts and upon entering the line, there were even a couple who came out onto the mansion lawn to chit chat with guests. My favorite part in this ride used to be the ghostly ballroom scene but this has now changed! Previous riders know that at the end of the ride, you tend to acquire a hitchhiker or two. However, THE GHOST FACE SWAPPED OUR FACES IN THE MIRROR! YES! Our actual faces were picked up and swapped by a spooky friend. IT WAS BY FAR THE COOLEST feature on the ride!

Do you plan on attending this year? What is your favorite ride? Let me know in the comments below!
