Waves of red and pink are officially flooding the aisles of Target and I can’t help but feel like Cupid has a small grip on me this year. I am CRAFTING it out this Valentine’s Day with the tiniest love in my life!
I have not one, but TWO simple and sophisticated crafts for you to make with your little one this Valentine’s Day…
The first craft involves painting tiny, baby toes! Here is what you will need…
- 1 Small White Canvas
- 1 Acrylic Red Paint
- 1 Acrylic Pink Paint
- 1 Paintbrush
- 1 Red Paint Marker
- Baby Wipes (For Easy Clean-Up)
First place a quarter-size amount of each paint on a paper plate and set aside. I always opt to do paint crafts right before bath time. I lay Hampton out on a towel and paint the bottom of his pint sized feet. Paint one foot at a time, and gently stamp the foot onto the canvas directly after painting. I tried my best to stamp his tiny feet in the shape of a heart. FOR BEST RESULTS, lightly brush the paint onto the feet. Too much paint may result in a thick and “globby” footprint. Wipe off feet as soon as you are finished stamping the print onto the canvas. Using your red paint marker, write the name and year at the bottom of the canvas. VOILA! Four canvases later, I was finally happy with the result.
**Don’t be discouraged if it doesn’t come out the first time! I always have extra supplies handy…after all, practice makes PERFECT!**
Now we need to make a craft using those TINY BABY HANDS! Or in this craft, BABY THUMBS!
I love learning new crafts from new moms! My great friend, Tovah created a craft using her son’s THUMBPRINT! It is an EASY, keepsake that is the perfect gift for any grandparent! FOLLOW THIS LINK TO CHECK IT OUT… https://www.mrsnewmommtl.com
